NEVC Announces Athlete of the Week Honorees (Week Ending 2/4/24)
Smithfield, R.I.- The New England Volleyball Conference (NEVC) has announced its Athlete of the Week honorees for the week ending 2/4/24. The full list of honorees can be found below.
Athlete of the Week
Jack Normandin (GS., OH), Nichols College
Graduate student Jack Normandin (Clifton Park, N.Y.) led the No. 19 Bison to a perfect 4-0 weekend at the No. 15 Misericordia University Cougar Kickoff Classic, where he won tournament MVP honors after hitting .314 with 53 kills, six service aces, 19 digs and 6 blocks. He posted double-digit kills in two of the four matches, including a high of 21 against No. 15 Misericordia, and averaged 3.53 kills per set on the week.
Rookie of the Week
Kincade Avery (Fr., OH), Bard College
Freshman Kincade Avery (Santa Barbara, Calif.) had a major impact during this weekend's games against Elms, totaling 30 kills and hitting .311, including a career-high 18 kills in the second match of the day, as he helped the Raptors to a split with Elms. On the week, he averaged 2.91 kills pers set, to go along with 1.27 digs per set, five assists, four service aces and a block.

The NEVC is a NCAA Division III single-sport conference sponsoring the sport of men’s volleyball. The conference is comprised of eight institutions, Bard College, Eastern Nazarene College, Endicott College, Nichols College, Northern Vermont University – Johnson, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, SUNY Potsdam and Russell Sage College.
