NEVC Announces Athlete of the Week Honorees (Week Ending 3/3)
Smithfield, R.I.- The New England Volleyball Conference (NEVC) has announced its Athlete of the Week honorees for the week ending 3/3/24. The full list of honorees can be found below.
Athlete of the Week
Aidan Iacovelli (So., OH), Endicott College
Sophomore Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) compiled 2.57 kills per set (3.60 in conference-only matches), a .469 hitting percentage, three service aces, 25 receptions, seven digs, and one solo block in a 3-0 (2-0 NEVC) week for the Gulls.
Rookie of the Week
Luke Madson (Fr., OH), Endicott College
Freshman Luke Madson (Nazareth, Pa.) registered 2.80 kills per set (3.00 in conference-only matches), a .233 hitting percentage, 24 receptions, and 15 digs in a 3-0 (2-0 NEVC) week for the Gulls. Madson's best match of the week came against Bard (W, 3-0) as the freshman outside notched career-highs for kills (8) and digs (7) in the victory.

The NEVC is a NCAA Division III single-sport conference sponsoring the sport of men’s volleyball. The conference is comprised of eight institutions, Bard College, Eastern Nazarene College, Endicott College, Nichols College, Northern Vermont University – Johnson, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, SUNY Potsdam and Russell Sage College.
