NEVC Announces Athlete of the Week Honorees (Week Ending 2/2)
Smithfield, R.I.- The New England Volleyball Conference (NEVC) has announced its Athlete of the Week honorees for the week ending 2/2/25. The full list of honorees can be found below.
Athlete of the Week
Tanner Soracco (GS, RS), Nichols College
Graduate student Tanner Soracco (Oxford, Conn.) started in all four matches for the Bison this past week, with three of them against nationally ranked opponents. Across that span, Soracco led the way with 44 kills (3.14 k/s) on .205 hitting, while also contributing 28 digs, three blocks, three service aces and three assists.
Rookie of the Week
Corey Hollingsworth (Fr., OH/RS), SUNY Poly
First year Corey Hollingsworth (Millbrook, N.Y.) had 16 kills on 36 attempts, hitting .250 and contributing 9 digs in a five-set match at Elmira. Against Curry, he had 7 kills on 16 attempts, hitting 0.313. Corey was a key factor in our success this weekend helping us go 2-1 at the Elmira Invitational.

The NEVC is a NCAA Division III single-sport conference sponsoring the sport of men’s volleyball. The conference is comprised of seven institutions, Bard College, Endicott College, Nichols College, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, SUNY Potsdam, Russell Sage College and Vermont State University – Johnson.
