NEVC Announces Athlete of the Week Honorees (Week Ending 3.11)
Smithfield, R.I.- The New England Volleyball Conference (NEVC) has announced its Athlete of the Week honorees for the week ending 3/9/25. The full list of honorees can be found below.
Athlete and Rookie of the Week
Sidney Stein (Fy., MB), Bard College
First year Sidney Stein (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was a key offensive force during the team’s 2-1 week, averaging 3.58 kills per set while maintaining a steady presence at the net. Over the three matches, Stein recorded 43 total kills while hitting .175. His best performance came against Vermont State Johnson, where he tallied 20 kills at a .238 clip. He ranks third in the NEVC in kills per set. Beyond his attacking prowess, Stein made an impact from the service line, adding three service aces against Vermont State Johnson. Defensively, he contributed 1.58 digs per set and registered four total blocks. His all-around effort helped propel the team to key victories and solidified his role as a top performer.

The NEVC is a NCAA Division III single-sport conference sponsoring the sport of men’s volleyball. The conference is comprised of seven institutions, Bard College, Endicott College, Nichols College, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, SUNY Potsdam, Russell Sage College and Vermont State University – Johnson.
