NEVC Announces Athlete of the Week Honorees (Week Ending 2/9)
Smithfield, R.I.- The New England Volleyball Conference (NEVC) has announced its Athlete of the Week honorees for the week ending 2/9/25. The full list of honorees can be found below.
Athlete of the Week
Aidan Iacovelli (Jr., OH), Endicott College
Junior Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) led Endicott to a 3-1 week, averaging 3.40 kills per set (49 total), 1.80 digs per set (.918 serve-receive), and 3.7 points per set. He had 10 or more kills in all three wins for the Gulls over Emerson (3-1), Marymount (Va., 3-2), and Manhattanville (3-0). His 17 kills against Marymount (Va.) were a season-high.
Rookie of the Week
Ansel Waisler (Fr., OH/OPP), Bard College
Freshman Ansel Waisler (Venice, Calif.) recorded a career-high 22 kills (4.40 per set) on a career-high .400 hitting percentage, making only four errors. More career-highs came in the aces, digs, and blocks columns, as he had four aces, 11 digs, and five blocks.

The conference is comprised of seven institutions, Bard College, Endicott College, Nichols College, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, SUNY Potsdam, Russell Sage College and Vermont State University – Johnson.
