NEVC Announces Athlete of the Week Honorees (Week Ending 2/16/25)
Smithfield, R.I.- The New England Volleyball Conference (NEVC) has announced its Athlete of the Week honorees for the week ending 2/16/25. The full list of honorees can be found below.
Athlete and Rookie of the Week
Ansel Waisler (Fr., OH/OPP), Bard College
Freshman Ansel Waisler (Venice, Calif.) was the number one option on the Bard offense during the 4-0 week, averaging 3.57 kills per set and extending his double-digit kill streak to six matches. He hit .275 during the week and had an especially efficient performance against Fisher, hitting 11 kills to just two errors for a .600 hitting percentage. He found a groove on his serve as well, averaging 0.86 service aces per set, recording career-highs in back-to-back days, hitting five against Fisher before totaling six versus John Jay. His defensive contributions include two digs per set as well, and he now ranks in the top ten in the NEVC in that category.
About the NEVC
The NEVC is a NCAA Division III single-sport conference sponsoring the sport of men’s volleyball. The conference is comprised of seven institutions, Bard College, Endicott College, Nichols College, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, SUNY Potsdam, Russell Sage College and Vermont State University – Johnson.
