Endicott's Aidan Iacovelli Named AVCA All-Region
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott junior Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) has earned American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Northeast All-Region honors, as announced by the association earlier today.
This is Iacovelli's first career All-Region award and the program's 12th overall since 2008.
Iacovelli was one of 14 student-athletes selected to the AVCA Region I All-Region Team. The region is comprised of the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNY), Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), NEVC, and Skyline, as well as Curry and Springfield from the Independent Pool.
With today's announcement, Iacovelli is now eligible for AVCA All-America honors, which will be released on Monday, April 21.
Iacovelli was named to the All-NEVC First Team for the second consecutive year.
The junior earned these postseason honors behind the following numbers: 26 matches played (88 sets), 312 kills, 3.55 kills per set, .216 hitting percentage, 1.61 digs per set (142 total), 330 points, and 3.8 points per set.
Iacovelli finished the season ranked second in the conference in kills per set and fourth in total kills.
Nationally, the South Windsor, Conn. native is positioned No. 37 in the country in kills per set.
Iacovelli's other highlights this season included setting a career high in kills, 23 vs SUNY Poly on 4/5, and in total, he had 18 matches this season in which he registered double-digit kills. He set new career highs in kills, kills per set, digs, digs per set, points, and points per set.
In the playoffs (three matches), Iacovelli collected 30 kills (3.00 per set), 19 digs, three blocks (one solo and two assisted), and went 55-57 (.965) in serve receive.

The NEVC is a NCAA Division III single-sport conference sponsoring the sport of men’s volleyball. The conference is comprised of seven institutions, Bard College, Endicott College, Nichols College, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, SUNY Potsdam, Russell Sage College and Vermont State University – Johnson.
